No, not at all. We like working hard, but we know how to have fun too! Each of our pubs, bars and restaurants is packed with friendly colleagues and guests. So, rather than losing your social life, you'll probably find that it's livelier than ever.
Q: How can I develop my skills at Spirit?
A: We're passionate about investing in our people and offer some of the most exciting training programmes around. So whether you're working at our support centre or in one of our many pubs, bars or restaurants, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills. Q: Does working in a pub have any prospects?
A: It does with Spirit! Unlike independent pubs and smaller chains, we can offer some superb opportunities to progress – either into pub management or a support centre role. We also provide excellent training, so you can quickly develop your skills here.
Q: Why should I work in a pub?
A: There's much more to working with us than pulling pints! Our pubs, bars and restaurants are diverse, fast-paced retail environments, which provide plenty of opportunities for you to sell, serve and create some unforgettable guest experiences. So you can gain all the skills you need to develop a top retail or hospitality career here.
Q: Will I get discounts?
A: Yes, we regularly distribute vouchers that will give you discounted food and drink in a number of our pubs, bars and restaurants. These vouchers are a great way for you to explore our many venues, as well as being a big ‘thank you’ for all your hard work. Q: Does everyone in your pubs work evenings?
A: Not necessarily. Many of our venues are busiest in the evening, but it may be possible to work during the day too. Alternatively, you could consider joining us at our support centre in Burton-Upon-Trent.
Q: What's Support Centre like?
A: We're glad you asked that question! It gives us the opportunity to show off our magnificent NEW support centre in Burton.
